Snow Sweet

SnowSweet is a delicious late-season apple known for its firm, crisp, snowy-white flesh and rich sweet flavor with a slight tart balance. Its taste is often described as sweet, savory, and almost buttery, with complex, satisfying overtones that make it an excellent choice for fresh eating and snacking.

SnowSweet is also especially well suited for salads, snack trays, fresh-cut apples, and applesauce, thanks to one of its most remarkable qualities: its bright white flesh is extremely slow to brown after being cut.

SnowSweet generally ripens in mid to late October, or about two weeks after Honeycrisp, making it one of the later apples of the season. Developed by the University of Minnesota and introduced in 2006, SnowSweet is a cross between Sharon and Connell Red and was bred for excellent fruit quality and cold hardiness.

Its beautiful bronze-red blush, distinctive sweet-tart flavor, impressive resistance to browning, and ability to thrive in colder climates make SnowSweet a particularly special addition to the fall apple season.
