AZTEC FUJI

Aztec Fuji is a beautiful, deep-red strain of the popular Fuji apple, known for its exceptionally sweet, crisp, and juicy flesh with very little acidity.
Its firm texture and honey-like sweetness make it an excellent choice for fresh eating and snacking, while it can also be used in salads, baking, applesauce, and other cooked dishes. Like other Fuji apples, Aztec Fuji is also an excellent keeper and can remain crisp and flavorful for months when properly stored.
Aztec Fuji generally ripens in the late September through October period, although the exact harvest timing can vary considerably by growing region and climate. One of its most special qualities is its rich, full red blush, which gives it more attractive coloring than many traditional Fuji strains.
Aztec Fuji was discovered in New Zealand as a natural sport, or mutation, of Fuji, and it retains the classic Fuji combination of high sweetness, firm crunch, and excellent storage potential. Its combination of beautiful color, satisfying crunch, and long-lasting quality makes Aztec Fuji a wonderful late-season apple for both orchards and fresh markets.
